Coventry University’s delegates visited Universitas Indonesia on Monday, 6 July 2015 to discuss possibilities of having mutual cooperation in academic mobility and research. Coventry University delegates were Mr. Robert Wilson (Regional Manager), Ms. Augviera (Country Manager – Indonesia), and Mr. Ronny Halim (Progression Officer – Indonesia). The delegates were welcomed by Prof. Melda Kamil Ariadno, S.H., LL.M, Ph.D., Head of International Office. The meeting was also attended by Sisilia Setiawati Halimi, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., Manager of Cooperation, Venture and Alumni Relations, Faculty of Humanities, Siti Nurandini W, Global Mobility Officer and Suyanti Adi, Global Marketing and Communication Officer.
Coventry University is a modern university focusing on applied research and forward-looking academic areas for its students. The university excels in automotive engineering and is known for good linkage with industries. During the course of the meeting, Robert Wilson expressed interest in establishing cooperation in staff exchange, student exchange and joint research, which requires both universities to identify the shared research areas to be done jointly, especially in the areas of maritime security and any other strategic areas for both countries.
