Objectives
Improve your written and oral comprehension and expression skills thanks to an intensive French course given in small groups (20 people per group maximum).
Language requirements
- Non-french adult speakers.
- A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels. A placement test is offered at the beginning of each session if you are a new student. It can be done 100% online and aims to know your level in French.
Program Duration
3 weeks of intensive courses (60 hours in total) during the summer period (July)
Summer Class Contents
Written and oral comprehension and expression classes mixed with cultural, sporting, and touristic experiences. (Depending on your level, you will learn to establish social contact, and talk about familiar subjects (A2) ;
Ask for and transmit information, formulate a project, and intention, and develop lexical and grammatical knowledge in context (B1)
Participate actively in an informal discussion: make comments, express a point of view clearly, defend opinions with relevance, and recognize the speaker’s point of view and attitude (B2) ;
Use the language efficiently in social and professional relationships, understand TV programs and films without too much effort, and understand the implicit (C1)
Activities
Excursions are planned and adapted according to the number of students and the health situation:
- Pétanque, fishing, cruising on the Atlantic Ocean and the first notions of navigation,
- Participation in a French music festival,
- Visit one of the largest aquariums in Europe in the center of La Rochelle, historical discovery and its architectural treasure, etc.
Evaluation Methods
The evaluation methods will be continuous assessment and/or final exams. Changes may be made during the COVID-19 period.

Fees
- 600 € per session plus application fees (must be paid to the University’s accounting agency before the beginning of the course).
- Registration fees will be reimbursed only upon presentation of proof of a visa refusal.
