On Monday (10/02/2020), delegations from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, attended a meeting with Universitas Indonesia, taking place at the International office Meeting Room, Rectorate Building 1st Floor, Campus UI Depok.
The delegations were, Professor David Dunn, Director of Internationalization, College of Social Sciences, University of Birmingham, Liza Vadivelu, SE Asia Office, University of Birmingham.
The delegations were welcomed by drg. Baiduri Widanarko, M.KKK, Ph.D., Head of International Office. Also attending the meeting were, Alfrida Esther, Coordinator for International Mobility, Muthia Pramesti, S.E., M.M. Head of International Affairs, Faculty of Economics and Business and Tara Ferakanita, International Existing Partnership Officer.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss possible collaboration between two universities for International Mobility, Bachelor Joint Degree University of Birmingham. In the Universitas Indonesia University of Birmingham is interested to have collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The University of Birmingham also offered Summer Program in Politics, Cultural Heritage, Math and Film Studies.
The University of Birmingham also offered Internal Research Funding. These typically fall into two categories:
- Schemes where the funder has placed a limit on the number of applications that can be submitted by any single institution
- Schemes where the funder has allocated a block grant to the University which is to be distributed via internal competition
