From 22 to 23 November 2016, Coventry University and Universitas Indonesia Bilateral Workshop: ‘Ocean Governance and Blue Growth’ was held at Technocentre, Room CC1.4. Coventry University, United Kingdom. This workshop was held to bring the collaboration on maritime field between UI and Coventry University one step further. UI was represented by the Indonesian Maritime Center (IMC). The delegation was lead by the Head of International Office.
Being speakers of this workshop including the head of Indonesian Maritime Center (IMC), Dr. Sunaryo, Prof. Melda Kamil Ariadno, Dr. Tri Tjahjono, Mr. Meidi Kosandi, Ms. Maria Tambunan, Prof. Haula Rosdiana, Mr Nuzul Achjar, Prof. Abimanyu T. Alamsyah, Mrs. Muthia Pramesti Supriyadi, Mrs Noverita Dian Takarina and Mr. Ali Akbar.
The delegates were welcome by Professor Richard Dashwood, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Professor Mike Hardy, Director, CTPSR.
This two days workshop included sessions of discussion on maritime issues from various field of studies such as politics, economics, industry, culture etc.
Prior to the workshop there was a meeting attended by the Chairman and the Head of Education Division of IMC discussing about project of establishing joint degree master program in maritime security. The workshop resulted in the next collaborative agenda including submitting Newton fund proposal and the 2017 bilateral workshop at UI.
