The world is in our hands. It is probably the best to depict tangible earth, the first interactive digital globe invented and designed by Professor Shinichi Takemura, an anthropologist from Japan. In front of the participants of ASEAN Eco-Leaders 2013 located in Balai Sidang Universitas Indonesia, November 25, 2013, Professor Shinichi Takemura spinned the globe with his hands gracefully and accessed unlimited environment of earth’s surface of Tangible Earth. The Tangible Earth could be installed across the planet to be used for global education programs, for example could be used to communicate meteorological conditions around the world.
While explaining vulnerability of the planet through the emerging of global disasters today, such as global warming and cooling in the fifteen years later, he tried urged to young generation that they must involve to tackle global challenges as they will act as global leaders in the future. He also inspires students to work together on the advancement of Tangible Earth in the future. Let’s save our world for the next generation!
