Outbound Exchange

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY

FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

  1. UI Student with active status
  2. Students should be at the minimum, in their 3rd semester at UI, at the time of application.
  3. Have not registered 144 credits at UI (Including credits on the last semester at UI before departing for exchange) by the time of application.
  4. Mandatory to transfer credits exchange period to UI.
  5. Will not graduate from UI, until the exchange period is completed.
  6. GPA minimum 3.2 (all major)
  7. TOEFL/IELTS :
  • TOEFL ITP: 550
  • TOEFL PBT: 550
  • TOEFL IBT: 79
  • IELTS: 6.5

FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

  1. UI Student with active status

  3. Have not registered 40 credits at UI (Including credits on the last semester at UI before departing for exchange) by the time of application.
  4. Mandatory to transfer credits exchange period to UI.
  5. Will not graduate from UI, until the exchange period is completed.
  6. GPA minimum 3.2 (all major)
  7. TOEFL/IELTS :
  • TOEFL ITP: 550
  • TOEFL PBT: 550
  • TOEFL IBT: 79
  • IELTS: 6.5

Required Documents :

  1. Recommendation Letter from faculty signed by Dean or Vice DeanIn this recommendation letter, please indicate:
    1. The outbound exchange scheme that your faculty support and acknowledge (only online or only offline or both online and offline schemes are supported and acknowledged)
    2. Students will not graduate from UI until the exchange program is completed
    3. Academic credits earned from exchange programs abroad can be converted to UI
  2. Legalized Final transcripts (GPA min. 3.2)
  3. IRS for last semester at UI before departing exchange
  4. English Proficiency Certificate
  5. CV
  6. Motivation Letter
  7. Statement letter of willingness not to leave the country if the faculty does not give permission
  8. Written approval letter of departure from parents

Application Process

  • The applicants submit the completed application forms and other required documents (copy of TOEFL to the International Office by the deadline at the latest.
  • International Office reviews the documents of the applicants and contacts the applicants who pass the selection process for the interview.
  • International Office interviews the selected candidates to be nominated to the partner universities.
  • International Office sends the letter of recommendation and other supporting documents of the recommended students to the partner university by e-mail and airmail.
  • Partner university informs the result of acceptance and the scholarship if any of the recommended students by e-mail.
  • Partner university sends the Letter of Acceptance to the International Office of Universitas Indonesia.
