UI INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
RESEARCH
Universitas Indonesia (UI) is a centre of excellence of research and knowledge production in Asia. Faculty members conduct scientific and applied research and publish it in various world research journals.
UI RESEARCH AT A GLANCE
Research at Universitas Indonesia is primarily managed by the Directorate of Research and Community Engagement as the central unit that provides assistance in ensuring research compliance, research grant facilitation and administration, enforcing research initiatives and establishing engagement with industries and communities, which is also important in creating impactful research. Apart from that, the Directorate of Research and Community Engagement works together with a number of cross-disciplinary research centers and laboratories.
ACADEMIC STAFF EXCHANGE
UI International Office plays a role in bridging any potential contacts between Universitas Indonesia’s academia and international partners to develop international collaborations. Occasionally, this collaboration leads to a more comprehensive activity, including joint-research. UI Academic Staff Exchange Program is a visiting scholar program particularly designed to facilitate international academics and researchers to conduct various activities for at Universitas Indonesia and to also support UI scholars visiting our partner universities.
VISITING RESEARCHERS
UI welcomes applications from students, senior academics, professors, and researchers who wish to spend periods of monthly up to yearly in the faculty to exchange expertise, or carry-out research with faculty members of a department as their scientific counterpart. With regards to the research focus highlighted, International Office provides assistance in facilitating this exchange of expertise and collaboration to happen between UI faculties and their counterpart or vice versa, through Visiting Researchers Program to Universitas Indonesia.
