Established under direct supervision of International Office UI (IO-UI) in the early 2013, UI Buddy Club (UIBC) is an organization comprising of UI active students who are willing to learn and experience priceless opportunities during their study in UI. The organization aims to help both Indonesian and international students who are willing to span their insight towards cultural diversity through exchange, study abroad, and numerous other programs organized by IO-UI.

UIBC will also share their knowledge and experiences to students interested in joining the programs offered by IO-UI. Additionally, the club will also help the dissemination of IO-UI programs. Eventually, the main reason of its establishment is to support the internationalization along with the encouragement of UI’s students as well as UI as a whole to be prepared towards the international world.

We invite both international and UI’s Indonesian students to get in-depth experiences, interact with new friends and exchange their knowledge in UIBC!

UIBC programs include:

• Buddy Program: the program of assisting international students individually by Indonesian students to adapt with life at campus and Indonesia.
• Language Exchange Program: the program for language exchange between international and Indonesian students.
• Gathering & Welcoming Party: informal orientation semester which includes sharing session regarding Indonesian culture and life at UI campus, games and cultural performance for international students to welcome incoming international students every.
• Outing: the outdoor activity for Indonesian and international students who love travelling and have deep curiosity about Indonesian culture.
• Movie night: the program of watching Indonesian movies together to give cultural insight to international students.
• Charity and cultural night, farewell party, voluntary programs and many more
