Universitas Indonesia (UI) recently hosted a strategic delegation from Asia University to broaden and elevate their active cooperation agreement into a more dynamic and concrete partnership. The dialogue focused on engineering flexible student mobility frameworks, enhancing cross-cultural immersion, and expanding joint academic initiatives across multiple disciplines.

During the meeting, both institutions prioritized the development of advanced study pathways designed to allow Ordos Vocational College students to seamlessly continue their education at UI through comprehensive credit recognition and transfer schemes. A major highlight of the discussion was the exploration of a structured academic pathway: three years of foundational study at Ordos Vocational College, one year of dedicated English or Indonesian language preparation, culminating in two years of advanced study at UI. The dialogue also emphasized broad student mobility opportunities, including tailored study abroad semesters for Ordos students at UI.
To maximize the impact of the partnership, UI and Ordos Vocational College agreed to open cross-faculty collaboration opportunities, particularly focusing on the fields of economics and nursing, alongside other disciplines that align with the strategic needs of both institutions. Beyond academic mobility, the alliance will encompass joint initiatives in education, research, and comprehensive capacity building. The visit concluded with a clear action plan; both teams committed to mapping out relevant study programs, drafting formal cooperation agreements, and maintaining active communication to successfully actualize these collaborative schemes.
