New UI Scholarship for UI Students to Study Overseas
Provide opportunity for Universitas Indonesia students who are participating on semester-based outbound mobility program
Eligibility

The NEW UI RISE Scholarship is available for undergraduate or graduate students participating in an exchange or fee-paying study abroad program from Universitas Indonesia, including programs under the AUN-ACTS and AIMS schemes.
Applicants must be selected and nominated to exchange/fee-paying study abroad program managed by Directorate for Internationalization of Education Universitas Indonesia.
Applicants must have received a Notification of Acceptance (NoA) / Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the host university.
Scholarship will be given after the NEW UI RISE recipients arrived on host university.
Scholarship recipients must provide the required financial reports.
Scholarship Benefits
Block grant up to IDR 25,000,000 for one semester.
AUN – ACTS exchange scheme up to IDR 36,000,000 for one semester
(available for limited quota, based on host university and destination country)

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply for New UI RISE again if I previously received it and am extending my exchange for another semester?
No, the New UI RISE scholarship is only awarded for one semester, even if a student participates in an exchange/fee-paying study abroad program for two semesters.
I am participating in a short program at a UI partner university. Am I eligible for UI RISE?
No, New UI RISE is exclusively for UI students enrolled in a full exchange/fee-paying study abroad program at a partner university. It does not cover short programs, consortium programs, or faculty-organized international programs.
Who is eligible to apply for New UI RISE?
UI students who have applied for exchange/fee-paying study abroad (including AIMS, and AUN-ACTS) program through the Directorate of Education Internationalization and have received either a letter of acceptance or at least a notification of acceptance from a UI partner university.
Can New UI RISE be combined with other scholarships?
No, New UI RISE cannot be combined with other scholarships such as IISMA, JASSO, GKS, Erasmus+, or financial aid provided by the host university.
What does the New UI RISE scholarship cover?
New UI RISE provides a block grant of up to IDR 25 million /AUN – ACTS exchange scheme up to IDR 36,000,000 for one semester, depending on the destination country and city of the host university.
