Faculty of Administrative Sciences (Bachelor’s Program)

The term administration is often heard in Indonesia as a symbol of clerical work—letters, typing, filing, and similar tasks.

However, in other countries, administrative science is commonly associated with more substantive matters, as seen in terms like The Biden-Harris Administration or The Barack Obama Administration.

Does this mean that Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and their teams were merely engaged in paperwork and typing during their administrations? Of course not.

Administrative Science revolves around five key pillars: Policy, Governance, Innovation, Institutions, and Culture. These pillars are interconnected, and Administrative Science explores the relationships between them.

Although officially established in 2015, the academic foundation of the Faculty of Administrative Science Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) dates back to the 1970s with the creation of the Department of Administrative Science at Universitas Indonesia. Currently, FIA UI offers three undergraduate programs: Business Administration, Public Administration, and Fiscal Administration.
