Global Young Leaders Program 2025 | POSTECH Student Exchange Program

Duration: 1 Academic Year (10 months, 2025 September – 2026 June)

Global Young Leaders Program is a student exchange program fully funded by POSCO & POSTECH. POSCO Group’s overseas subsidiaries used to fund the POSCO Global Young Leaders Program to train and cultivate next-generation global talent,  POSTECH also joined to fund and give more opportunities to be Global Young Leaders in POSTECH and Korea. Furthermore, Worldwide.

Eligiblity

FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
  • Must be an active student at Universitas Indonesia (UI).
  • Must be at least in the 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate student at UI at the time of application.
  • Must not have completed all required credits according to the curriculum of their study program at the time of participation.
  • Must transfer credits to UI after completing studies abroad.
  • Must not graduate from UI until the exchange period is completed.
  • Showing a strong performance in academic
  • Strong competence in English proficiency
  • Must purchase International Health Insurance that meets the coverage requirements set by the destination country’s visa and the partner university’s regulations.
  • Must have a valid passport at the time of application.
  • Students who have previously participated in or are registered in a student exchange and fee-paying study abroad program are not eligible.
  • Must not be currently applying for or accepting any exchange at the time of application.
  • Must comply with faculty-specific rules and regulations (if any).

Document Requirements

  • Faculty Recommendation Letter (signed by the Dean or Vice Dean), which must include the following information:
  1. The faculty supports and acknowledges the offline outbound international mobility program.
  2. The student will not graduate from UI until the international mobility program is completed.
  3. Academic credits earned from the international mobility program can be transferred to UI.
  • Academic record signed by Vice Dean
  • English proficiency certificate

TOEFL iBT 90 / IELTS Academic 6.5 / Duolingo 120

  • CV & Motivation letter
  • Written approval letter of departure from parents (following the provided format)
  • Learning agreement (following the provided format)
  • Consent letter (following the provided format)

Program Requirements

  • Enroll in at least 6 POSTECH major credits per semester
  • Complete Korean Language Course each semester, including a Pre-Arrival Summer Course
  • Participate in Research Activities during the Winter Break
  • Engage actively in GYLP excursions and alumni activities

Scholarship Benefits

  • Round-Trip Airfare
  • Visa & Transportation Support: 500,000 KRW (approx. 350 USD) one-time
  • Living Allowance: 1,000,000 KRW (approx. 750 USD) per month
  • GYLP Excursions: Seoul Heritage Exploration, Jeju ESG Discovery, and else
