National University of Singapore

National University of Singapore invite talented young scholars worldwide to this month-long programme to explore NUS’ world-class research and postgraduate opportunities. Engage with leading faculty, connect with peers and experience academic excellence at its finest!

Program Highlights

  • Full coverage of programme-related expenses provided for selected participants.
  • Exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Singapore’s iconic attractions
  • Hands-on workshops on Generative AI in research
  • Insightful talks by NUS PhD students & alumni on research and careers
  • Four weeks later, participants will present project insights on Generative AI’s impact in research.

Funding & Support

  • S$600 stipend
  • On-campus housing
  • Full coverage of programme-related expenses provided for selected participants.

Eligiblity

FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
  • Must be an active student at Universitas Indonesia (UI).
  • Must be at least in the 5th semester for undergraduate (S1) student at UI at the time of application.
  • Must not have completed all required credits according to the curriculum of their study program at the time of participation.
  • No GPA Requirements.
  • Mandatory to transfer exchange period credits to UI.
  • Will not graduate from UI until the exchange period is completed
  • Language Proficiency Standard:TOEFL / IELTS
  • Mandatory to purchase International Health Insurance that meets the coverage requirements set by the destination country’s visa and the partner university’s regulations.
  • Must have a valid passport at the time of application.
  • Students who have previously participated in or are registered in student exchange and fee-paying study abroad program are not eligible.
  • Must not be currently applying or accepting for any exchange or fee-paying study abroad program at the time of application.
  • Must comply to rules and regulations at the faculty (if any)

Document Requirements

  • Faculty Recommendation Letter (signed by the Dean or Vice Dean), which must include the following information:
  1. The faculty supports and acknowledges the offline outbound exchange scheme.
  2. The student will not graduate from UI until exchange or fee-paying study abroad program is completed.
  3. Academic credits earned from exchange or fee-paying study abroad program can be transferred to UI.
  • Academic record signed by Vice Dean
  • English Proficiency Sertificate
  • CV & Motivation letter
  • Written approval letter of departure from parents (following the provided format)
  • Consent letter (following the provided format)
  • Reflective Essay (max. 1,000 words), addressing either:A research area of strong personal interest and its anticipated development, OR a significant social issue with personal insights on potential solutions.
