The Master’s Programs at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FKM UI) are designed for professionals and researchers aiming to deepen their expertise and leadership in public health. These programs offer an interdisciplinary approach, combining research, policy, and practice to tackle pressing health issues at local, national, and global levels.
The Master of Public Health program at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (FKM UI) is the oldest of its kind in Indonesia. Originally limited to medical and paramedical graduates, the program has embraced a multidisciplinary approach since 1990, opening its doors to graduates from various backgrounds.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or a Diploma IV in Health, complete online registration, and pass an entrance exam.
The program spans 4 to 8 semesters and requires students to complete at least 54 credits, publish a journal article, and submit a final thesis, in line with Universitas Indonesia’s academic regulations.
The Epidemiology Study Program of Universitas Indonesia (UI) Postgraduate Program has been implemented since October 1995. The Master’s degree program in Epidemiology was officially established with the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture No.108/DIKTI/Kep/1996 dated April 18, 1996. Furthermore, the Doctoral program in Epidemiology was also established with the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture No.428/DIKTI/Kep/1998 dated November 24, 1998. The Master of Epidemiology degree program has been running the FETP program since 1980. It started from a non-degree program and then changed to a degree program, following the development of Epidemiology at the national and international levels (PAEI, JEN, Inclen, Tephinet).
The Master of Occupational Health and Safety degree program at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia (UI), is a pioneer in Master’s education level in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in Indonesia. The study program was developed in 1996, and an operational permit was obtained according to the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 428 / DIKTI / Kep / 1998. Furthermore, on February 7, 2000, the study program was managed by the faculty’s Department of OHS in accordance with the Decree of the Rector of UI No.018/SK/R/UI/ 2000. Currently, the study Program has been ‘Excellent’ accredited by the LAM-PTKES (November 24, 2023 – November 23, 2028).
