Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Master’s Program)

The Master’s Program is an academic education designed for graduates of undergraduate programs or equivalent, enabling them to apply and advance knowledge in science, technology, arts, and culture through reasoning and scientific research. The total study load for the regular Master’s Program across all tracks is a minimum of 36 (thirty-six) credits. The Master’s Program can be conducted through Coursework and Research tracks. Both the Coursework and Research tracks can be pursued through the International Mobility Program.

Masters Program – Coursework Track

The Master’s Program – Coursework Track is a regular master’s education program consisting of structured coursework and the completion of a thesis or an equivalent final project. This program can be pursued through a blended learning or in-person format, with a minimum duration of 12 (twelve) months.

Master’s Program – Research Track

The Master’s Program – Research Track is a regular master’s education program that includes specialized courses and requires the completion of a thesis as the final project.

Master’s Program – International Mobility

The Master’s International Mobility Program is a master’s education program offered by the University of Indonesia, where a portion of the credits (through a credit transfer and equivalency scheme) can be earned by participating in exchange programs or overseas visits at one or more foreign universities recognized by the University of Indonesia. Under this program, students must complete at least 50% of their coursework from their study program, including the final project, and all examinations must be conducted at the University of Indonesia.

Masters Program students can take courses outside the University of Indonesia through university programs in the form of:

  1. Student Exchange Program
  2. Student Visit Program
  3. International Class Program
  4. International Mobility Program
  5. Program Double-Degree or Joint-Degree
  6. Other programs recognized by the University of Indonesia
