Call for application for exchange program at Jeonbuk National University, South Korea! Open for undergraduate and graduate students who have never participated on exchange or fee-paying study abroad program.

Available 20 quota of applicants

Eligiblity

FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS
  • An active UI Student
  • Min. 3rd semester (bachelor's) / 2nd semester (master's) at the time of application
  • Have not completed all required credits of their study
  • Must transfer credits to UI after completing exchange program
  • Must not graduate from UI until the exchange program is completed
  • Have a strong academic performance
  • Have a strong competence in English proficiency
  • Must purchase international health insurance that meets visa and partner university requirements
  • Must have a valid passport at the time of application.
  • Students who have participated or are currently enrolled in a student exchange or fee-paying study abroad program are not eligible
  • Must not be currently applying for or accepting any exchange at the time of application.
  • Must comply with faculty-specific rules and regulations (if any)

Document Requirements

  • Faculty Recommendation Letter (signed by the Dean or Vice Dean), must state:
  1. The faculty supports and acknowledges the offline outbound international mobility program.
  2. The student will not graduate from UI until the international mobility program is completed.
  3. Earned credits are transferable to UI.
  • Academic record signed by Vice Dean
  • CV & Motivation Letter
  • A Valid English Proficiency CertificateTOEFL IBT or ITP / IELTS
  • Written approval letter of departure from parents (following the provided format)
  • Learning agreement (following the provided format)
  • Consent letter (following the provided format)

Program Benefits:

Part-time Work Opportunities

  • Exchange students are allowed to take part in part-time jobs during their stay to help support their living expenses.

Free Korean Language Courses

  • JBNU offers three free Korean language classes based on each student’s level.
  • Students will first take a placement test and will then be assigned to classes appropriate for their Korean proficiency.
  • Classes are offered for a total of 9 hours per week during the semester.

Dormitory Fees Including Meals

  • The KRW 1,300,000 dormitory fee per semester includes three meals a day (Monday to Friday), providing affordable and convenient campus life.
