Call for application for exchange program at Yamaguchi University, Japan!
Open for undergraduate and graduate students who have never participated on exchange program.

Eligiblity

FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS
  • An active UI Student
  • Min. 3rd semester Bachelor at the time of application
  • Min. 2nd semester Master at the time of application
  • Have not completed all required credits of their study
  • Must transfer credits to UI after completing exchange program
  • Must not graduate from UI until the exchange program is completed
  • Have a strong academic performance
  • Have a strong competence in English or Japanese proficiency
  • Must purchase international health insurance that meets visa and partner university requirements
  • Must have a valid passport at the time of application.
  • Students who have participated or currently enrolled in a student exchange are not eligible
  • Must not be currently applying for or accepting any exchange at the time of application.
  • Must comply with faculty-specific rules and regulations (if any)

Document Requirements

  • Faculty Recommendation Letter (signed by the Vice Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs/ Education Manager/ Head of International Office at Faculty)
  1. The faculty supports and acknowledges the offline outbound international mobility program.
  2. The student will not graduate from UI until the international mobility program is completed.
  3. Earned credits are transferable to UI.

  • CV & Motivation Letter
  • A Valid English Proficiency CertificatePlease see the language requirements below for each programs.
  • Written approval letter of departure from parents (following the provided format)
  • Learning agreement (following the provided format)
  • Consent letter (following the provided format)

Language Requirements:

  1. Graduate School of Innovation and Technology Management
    – TOEIC 800 or an equivalent English language level
  2. Faculties of Humanities, Education, Economics, Science, Agriculture, Engineering and Veterinary Medicine
    – Japanese level of JLPT N2 or higher
  3. Graduate School of Humanities and Economic Sciences (Division of Humanities and Division of Clinical Psychology)
    – Japanese level of JLPT N1
  4. Graduate School of Humanities and Economic Sciences (Division of Co-creation Sciences)
    – Japanese level of JLPT N2 or higher
  5. Graduate School of Humanities and Economic Sciences (Division of Economics and Management). Students should meet one of the following requirements:
    a. Japanese level of JLPT N2 or higher
    b. English level of TOEIC 730 or higher
    c. English level of TOEFL iBT 79 or higher
  6. Other Faculties and Graduate Schools
    – Japanese level N4 or above

    For students with JLPT N2 Level or higher
