UI Students Mobility Information Session 2025 Opens International Mobility Opportunities for Students

Depok, March 5, 2025 – Universitas Indonesia (UI) organized the “UI Students Mobility Information Session 2025” to provide comprehensive information on various student exchange programs, study-abroad opportunities, international internships, and scholarship options for UI students. The event, held on Thursday (February 27) at the Balai Sidang UI in Depok, was hosted by the Directorate for Internationalization of Education and attended by hundreds of students from various faculties.

According to the Director for Internationalization of Education, Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC, UI is committed to expanding access to international student mobility programs. Participants gained insights into various exchange schemes, scholarships, and study-abroad experiences through three informative sessions and a talk show. “This opportunity is open to all UI students who meet the requirements for international mobility programs,” she stated.

Currently, UI collaborates with numerous partner universities worldwide to facilitate various mobility programs, including exchange programs under the University-to-University (U to U) scheme for one to two semesters, AUN-ACTS for ASEAN countries, AIMS for Asia, and ERASMUS+ for European countries. Additionally, UI offers internship and visiting student programs for up to one semester, a fee-paying study abroad program for UI’s top-ranked partner universities, and short credit-earning and non-credit-earning programs.

Participants also received information on scholarship opportunities to address financial constraints, which is one of the main challenges for the students to join these mobility programs. The scholarships presented included the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO), MEXT, and ERASMUS+.

UI also introduced two new scholarship programs—NEW UI RISE and UI SPARKLE 2025. These scholarships are part of UI’s initiatives to encourage more students to participate in international mobility programs, offering financial support to help students achieve their dreams of studying abroad.

The final session featured a talk show titled “From Aspiration to Admission: Study Abroad,” where four UI students and alumni shared their experiences, challenges, and benefits of international mobility programs. The speakers were Andrea Nugraha Putri (AUN-ACTS awardee at the National University of Singapore), Althea Gultom (Erasmus+ awardee for a semester exchange program in Paris, France), and Navira Putri Apriliani and Jorga, who are alumni of UI’s International Class Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (in collaboration with Hanyang University, South Korea, and the University of Queensland, Australia).

Through the UI Students Mobility Information Session 2025, UI hopes the students will take advantage of the numerous opportunities to study abroad, as international mobility programs not only broaden academic perspectives but also provide valuable experiences to support future career development.
