
Universitas Indonesia (UI) welcomed a high-level delegation from Óbuda University, Hungary, to explore new opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and innovation. The meeting focused on building strategic academic and research partnerships, particularly in the fields of engineering, robotics, artificial intelligence, and medical technology.
The Óbuda University delegation was led by Prof. Levente Kovács, Rector of Óbuda University, accompanied by Enikő Maior, Vice-Rector for Education, and Tamás Novák, Rector’s Representative.

During the meeting, both institutions identified several potential areas for collaboration, including:
Student Exchange Programs and Staff Mobility initiatives;
Joint Research and Publications in fields such as medical technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence;
Short Course Programs—customized summer programs for 20 students over 2–4 weeks;
Participation in Erasmus+ Programs for students and faculty;
Joint Supervision for master’s and doctoral degree students; and
Curriculum Development, including joint lectures, micro-credentials, and cross-cultural programs.
Óbuda University, recognized as the second-best university in Hungary and the top institution for engineering, is renowned for its strong integration with industry and innovation networks across Europe. The university has a clear vision to advance as an entrepreneurial university, fostering applied research and industrial collaboration.
The Hungarian side also introduced scholarship opportunities supported by the Hungarian Government, Pannonian Scholarships, and Erasmus+ grants, which are open to both students and academic staff for mobility and academic exchange.
Both UI and Óbuda University expressed a shared commitment to developing a long-term partnership that promotes academic excellence, innovation-driven collaboration, and cross-border educational opportunities.
