Visiting Professor Program at UI

UI Visiting Professor Program invites distinguished professors to conduct academic activities such as delivering lectures, seminars, facilitating workshops, and engage in discussions on research collaboration at Universitas Indonesia.

Visiting Professor Requirements

Preferably from QS/THE WUR Top 200 universities and/or UI’s partner institution.

Have a Scopus h-index ≥ 50 for STEM, or h-index ≥ 25 for Social Sciences & Management and Arts & Humanities, or editor top tier journal, or fellow organization profession, or member national academy.

Willing to participate in on-site academic activities at UI.

Willing to sign a Statement of Commitment to Collaborate in Research with Universitas Indonesia.

Program Implementation Guidelines

Visiting Professor Program may take place from 1 February to 30 June 2026.
Visiting Professor Program is conducted on-site at UI for 1 (one) week.
On-site lectures by visiting professors are prioritized for the International Class Program.
Discussions on research collaboration may be conducted online.
Workshops/seminars related to the research topics or expertise of visiting professors are attended by students and/or UI Faculty members.
Funding is allocated solely for on-site activities at UI.

Funding Allocation and Eligible Costs

Round-trip economy class airfare tickets (at cost) with a maximum amount in accordance with the Universitas Indonesia Fee Standards.
Accommodation for 6 nights (at cost with a maximum of IDR 1,500,000 per night).
Honorarium for 5 working days is IDR 25,000,000. (Honorarium can only be paid for teaching activities and workshops/seminars, with a maximum of IDR 5,000,000 per day.)

*All listed funding is subject to tax and bank administrative fees.

VISITING PROFESSOR UI – 2026 (ENG)

1. Prospective visiting professors are required to submit the following documents by 31 March 2026 through this link: bit.ly/UI-VPP

CV (Curriculum Vitae) or Resume (free format), including a link to your Scopus h-index profile
5-day Activity Plan outlining proposed lectures, seminars, workshops, or collaborative research initiatives, including the tentative dates.
Letter of Support from a UI counterpart (required for the application to be reviewed)
Supporting document if you are an editor top tier journal, or fellow organization profession, or member national academy (if applicable)
