The Vocational Education Program of Universitas Indonesia aims to prepare students to become experts or professionals who implement, develop, and disseminate technology and cultural arts as an effort to improve people’s lives, social civilization, and also become the seeds of a driving force that strengthens Indonesia at the same time.
Graduates of the Vocational Education Program of Universitas Indonesia are directed to master skills in certain fields of work so that they can be directly absorbed as workers in various fields of production and services, government agencies, or independent entrepreneurs. The core of teaching at the Vocational Education Program of Universitas Indonesia prioritizes skills, competencies, and behaviors that complement knowledge academically.
To anticipate the increasingly fierce competition in the job market both in Indonesia and in ASEAN countries, the Universitas Indonesia Vocational Education Program collaborates with the Professional Association and Professional Certification Institute (LSP) to improve the abilities of its students through professional certification. Thus, graduates of the Vocational Education Program of Universitas Indonesia have the advantage because in addition to obtaining a diploma, they are also provided with a certificate of competence from their respective professions as well as a certificate of English (TOEFL/TOEIC).
The Insurance and Actuarial Administration study program is one of the study programs in Indonesia that produces experts in the field of insurance. It is reinforced by the award given by the Association of Indonesian Insurance Management Experts (AAMAI) in 2022 as The Best University with Highest Contribution in Developing the Insurance Industry 2022. This study program is the only study program in the field of Insurance and Actuarial which has been awarded an excellent title by BAN-PT since 2022. About 80% of the lecturers who teach courses in this study program are professional practitioners in the fields of insurance, actuarial and pension funds. After completing 6 semesters or 3 years, students have the opportunity to exempt the Certificate in Life Insurance (CLI) and Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) exams from the Association of Indonesian Insurance Management Experts (AAMAI), which are the initial requirements to become Adjunct Insurance Experts . Profile of graduates from this study program as Associate Insurance and Actuarial Experts who are able to apply knowledge, skills in insurance, actuarial, and pension funds in accordance with Regulations and Professional Practice Standards supported by Information Technology skills and Business Ethics so as to obtain the title of Associate Insurance and Actuarial Expert Actuarial or A.Md.A.A.
The Financial and Banking Administration Study Program prepares intermediate financial and banking experts who are able to apply financial and banking principles in the field of work and profession, which is supported by mastery of applied science and its development, work skills, teamwork, mastery of technology applications/information systems and behavioral attitudes based on noble character, integrity and professionalism in the fields of finance and banking.
The Office Administration study program is a study program that has the goal of making its graduates ready to work and able to adapt and compete as Office Administration professionals who are religious, national-minded, adaptive, and uphold professional ethics. Specifically, graduates of the Office Administration study program are targeted to have excellence in office administration competence, correspondence, filing, public speaking, communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as mastering the latest technology, especially technology to support office administration work. Producing intermediate tax experts who are able to carry out obligations and fulfill taxation rights in the fields of Income Tax, Value Added Tax and Luxury Goods Sales Tax as well as Regional Taxes and Regional Retributions for Domestic Individual Taxpayers and Domestic Corporate Taxpayers in a professional manner based on the existing tax provisions applies.
Accounting Study Program of Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia is a study program that prepares intermediate accounting experts who are able to prepare financial reports, present tax reports and carry out audits under the supervision of an accountant.
The Public Relations study program is a study program that aims to produce “Associate Public Relations experts who are able to plan, produce, implement and evaluate public relations programs according to industry needs, law and professional ethics, and are able to adopt and adapt digital technology in the field of public relations so as to be able to compete in the ASEAN market”.
