Visit: Universitas Indonesia and Pukyong National University Discuss Korean Language and Culture Lecture Program

Universitas Indonesia (UI) recently hosted a delegation from Pukyong National University (PU), South Korea, to discuss potential academic collaboration in the field of Korean Studies. The visit was led by Professor Dr. Myung Shin Ha, Vice-President for External Affairs and Development at PU, accompanied by PU student Mr. Yulianto.

UI was represented by:

  • Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC, Director for Internationalization of Education

  • Dr. Muthia Pramesti, S.E., M.M., Assistant Director of International Education Program Development and Partnership, Directorate for Internationalization of Education

The key outcome of the meeting was PU’s proposal to organize a special two-month Korean language and culture lecture series at UI, specifically targeting students of the Korean Studies Department at the Faculty of Humanities.

This initiative is expected to enrich the Korean Studies curriculum at UI and further strengthen the academic ties between Indonesia and South Korea. The program also aligns with UI’s commitment to offering diverse, globally-oriented educational experiences to its students.

Both institutions expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, seeing it as a valuable platform for cultural exchange and academic engagement.
