Directorate for Internationalization of Education

Visit: Tianjin University, China

Universitas Indonesia (UI) held a productive meeting at the PPMT Meeting Room, UI Rectorate Building, with representatives from Tianjin University, China.

The delegation was:

Dr. Muthia Pramesti, S.E., M.M. – Assistant Director, International Education Program Development and Partnership, Directorate for Internationalization of Education

Both institutions identified strong potential for collaboration through joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, dual or joint degree programs, as well as short courses and summer schools. As a starting point, the two universities plan to initiate exploratory academic exchanges and joint seminars or workshops.

TJU also introduced three scholarship schemes available to international students:

  1. Chinese Government Scholarship – covers full tuition, accommodation, and living stipend.

  2. Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship – partial to full tuition coverage based on academic merit.

  3. Tianjin University Scholarship – merit-based awards available for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

UI welcomes these opportunities and will share the information with its academic community, especially within engineering and science disciplines.
