
Universitas Indonesia (UI) hosted a delegation from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, to discuss potential academic and entrepreneurial collaborations aimed at expanding student mobility and international learning experiences.

The meeting focused on two key initiatives:
Student Immersion Program – A one-week overseas experience designed for groups of 30 students. Following Ngee Ann’s Overseas Immersion Program (OIP) Framework, the proposed itinerary includes cultural workshops, industry visits, sustainability activities, and a closing ceremony. The program typically runs in September and March, with UI students serving as buddies to visiting participants.
Global Entrepreneurial Internship Program – An internship opportunity with startups or established industries, providing students with hands-on entrepreneurial and industry experience.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic highlighted its diverse academic landscape, featuring eight schools, including the School of Business & Accountancy, School of Design & Environment, School of Engineering, School of Film & Media Studies, School of Health Sciences, School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies, School of InfoComm Technology, and School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology.
Discussions also explored UI’s participation in Ngee Ann’s Inbound Short Course Program, “Culturepreneurship,” offered in July–August and December–January, which combines cultural exploration with entrepreneurial learning.
Both institutions expressed strong interest in building sustainable partnerships to enrich cross-cultural understanding and provide students with global exposure in academics, industry, and entrepreneurship.
