Call for application for Netherlands-Southeast Asia Semiconductor Short Talent Programme at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia! Open for graduate students who have never participated in an international mobility program.

Eligiblity

FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
  • An active UI Student in STEM-related majors
  • Min. 2nd semester (Master’s) at the time of application
  • Must not graduate from UI until the program is completed
  • Have a strong academic performance
  • Have a strong competence in English proficiency
  • Must purchase international health insurance that meets visa and partner university requirements
  • Must have a valid passport at the time of application
  • Students who have participated or are currently enrolled in an international mobility program are not eligible
  • Must not be currently applying for or accepting any international mobility program at the time of application
  • Must comply with faculty-specific rules and regulations (if any)

Document Requirements

  • Faculty Recommendation Letter (signed by the Dean or Vice Dean), must state:
  1. The faculty supports and acknowledges the offline outbound international mobility program.
  2. The student will not graduate from UI until the international mobility program is completed.
  • Academic record signed by Vice DeanGPA minimum 3.0
  • A valid English Proficiency Certificate with minimum score:

a. TOEFL ITP 550
b. TOEFL iBT 80
c. IELTS 6.0

  • CV
  • Motivation letter covering these points:

a. What is your motivation to participate in this short programme?
b. What are your expectations after participating in this short programme?
c. What are your plans for contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry?

  • Written approval letter of departure from parents (following the provided format)

Applicants should have been exposed to or have sufficient knowledge of at least 3 (three) subjects from the following list:

  • Integrated Circuit (IC) Design
  • Microelectronics
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing, process including back-end and front-end, wafer fabrication, assembly, testing and packaging
  • Semiconductor equipment
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Control System Design
  • Power Systems
  • High Voltage Testing Process
  • Software Engineering
  • System Engineering
  • Material Science
  • Advanced Optics
  • Optomechatronics
  • Mechatronics design
  • Photonics
  • Quantum computing

Programme Coverage

  • Programme participation fee is waived
  • Accommodation and local transports will be provided
  • Exposure to wide semiconductor industry networks and intercultural peers from the SEA region

Travel expenses + travel insurance will be funded at cost by the Directorate for Internationalization of Education Universitas Indonesia.
