UI-GLOBES Outbound

Merit and Need-based Scholarships | Odd semester – Academic Year 2026/2027

UI-GLOBES Outbound provides financial support for UI students participating in international non-degree outbound mobility programs with credit. This support aims to enhance students’ global exposure, academic growth, and encouraging the implementation of academic credit transfer for mobility activities undertaken abroad.

Eligibility

To be eligible, students must have attained the conditions below:

Applicants must be Indonesian citizens and registered as active full-degree students (Vocational, Undergraduate, or Graduate) at Universitas Indonesia.

Applicants must be participating in an international non-degree outbound mobility program with credit.

The international non-degree outbound mobility program must have a minimum duration of four (4) weeks.

The international non-degree outbound mobility program participated by the applicant must be eligible for academic credit recognition from Universitas Indonesia. 

5

Applicants must not receive full scholarships or financial support from the host university, government, or other institutions.

Applicants must have received at least a Notification of Acceptance (NoA) from the host university. 

7

Applicants must submit the UI-GLOBES Outbound Statement Letter. 

Financial Support

Block grant up to IDR 25,000,000 per program

Admission Guidelines

Kindly submit these following documents:

Notification of Acceptance (NoA) / Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Host University

4

Academic Transcript

English Proficiency Certificate

UI-GLOBES Outbound Statement Letter Form (following the provided format)

UI-GLOBES Outbound Financial Statement Letter Form (following the provided format)

Notes: 

  1. The template forms can be accessed via bit.ly/Template-UIGLOBESOutbound 
  2. Please ensure that all documents are merged into one (1) PDF file in the order listed above before submission. 
  3. Submit your documents via bit.ly/Submission-UIGLOBESOutbound 
  4. Please note that the financial support will be disbursed after the recipient has arrived at the host university. 
  5. Awardee who withdraw or fail to complete the program are obligated to repay the full amount of UI-GLOBES Outbound funding to Universitas Indonesia. 

Application Flow

Submit the Documents

Fill in the form and submit the required documents via bit.ly/Submission-UIGLOBESOutbound

(2)

Review and Selection Process

The Directorate for Internationalization of Education (DIP) will conduct the document review and selection process. 

(3)

Receive an Award Letter (Announcement)

Selected students will receive an Award Letter and UI-GLOBES Outbound Agreement via email.  

(4)

Return the Signed Agreement 

Awardees must return the signed UI-GLOBES Outbound Agreement to DIP before the specified deadline.  

(5)

Fund Transferred to the Awardee’s

The UI-GLOBES Outbound fund will be transferred to the awardee’s Indonesian bank account once all required documents have been submitted and verified.

During the Program

Submit 1-5 minute video showcasing your study experience abroad

Completion of the Program

Upon completion of the program, awardees must submit:  

  1. A screenshot of the credit transfer record from SIAK-NG 
  2. An activity report 
  3. Feedback form 

Selection Criteria

Overview

UI-GLOBES Outbound is a merit- and need-based scholarship. It is a competitive financial support program, and meeting all eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection as an awardee. Every eligible application is reviewed holistically in accordance with criteria bellow. Applications are assessed as a whole and no single criteria on its own determines the outcome.

Students' tuition fee (UKT) per Semester
Reflection the students need-based principle
(Based on data in SATU)

Note: Whether the applicant is already receiving partial scholarship or financial support from another institution, factored into the overall financial need assessment.
