International Class (KKI)

UI Rector’s Regulation (Peraturan Rektor) No. 20 year 2025 Regarding the implementation of the International Class Program (Tentang Penyelenggaraan Program Kelas Khusus Internasional)

The International Class Program, hereinafter referred to as the KKI Program, is an educational program that is held using “bahasa asing“ a foreign language / non-native (non-Indonesian) language as the language of instruction.

Definition

International Undergraduate Program /S1 Kelas Khusus Internasional (KKI) is a bachelor’s program that uses English as the language of Instruction

Single Degree (SD) program is a type of KKI Program in which students take all courses at UI with a minimum of one semester of study abroad and obtain a degree and diploma from UI upon completion of all courses

Double Degree (DD)/ Joint degree (JD) program is a type of KKI program which enables students to obtain two diplomas and/or two degrees upon completion of all courses both in Universitas Indonesia and Partner Universities

General Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • English language proficiency

Documents

  • Non Indonesian passport
  • Latest color photo (full face without hat, glasses, or accessories)
  • High school or equivalent school certificate
  • High school or equivalent school academic transcript
  • Health certificate
  • Motivation statement
  • Additional document: SAT (sat.collegeboard.org) is strongly recommended to support your application
  • English proficiency must be demonstrated by one of the following certificates:
  1. TOEFL (ets.org)
  2. IELTS (http://ielts.org)
  3. FCE and CAE from Cambridge main Suite Exams (https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/exams-and-tests/)
  4. For the Englishproficiency score required, please refer to the guidelines for each faculty regulations (please see the table)
  5. TOEFL/IELTS/FCE/CAE should be still
  6. If you have or will receive a high school or equivalent school certificate from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction,or you graduate with international curriculum or baccalaureatte system, you do not need to submit an English language proficiency certificate. Instead, you must provide a letter from your institution confirming that English is the primary language of instruction

Admission

Indonesian Students

  1. Talent Scouting

    Selection based on academic achievement as indicated by the student’s transcript. UI only invites selected schools to participate in this program

  2. SIMAK UI

    Selection based on written test covering Basic Mathematics, English, Logic and Quantitative Reasoning

At the time of application to the International Undergraduate Program (Kelas Khusus International) whether through the Talent scouting or SIMAK KKI, applicants are required to upload the following documents:

  • Commitment Letter (Form provided)
  • Funding Commitment Letter (Form provided)
  • Statement of Document Authenticity (Form provided)
  • A valid Certificate for TOEFL/IELTS/FCE and CAE from Cambridge Main Suite Exams

Selection based on desk evaluation (not written test) of academic achievement of the applicant. Desk evaluation made upon the basis of applicant’s profile and document
