Discussions heavily emphasized the expansion of postgraduate collaborations. Both institutions agreed to explore double degree options, co-supervision frameworks, and increased PhD opportunities. A major highlight was the upcoming launch of the Singapore–Southeast Asia Scholarship Programme, alongside discussions on aligning funding proposals with the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). Furthermore, UI and NUS committed to continuing the 3+1+1 program in Civil Engineering and Architecture, with active curriculum mapping to be executed at the faculty level.
On the research front, the universities aim to develop joint proposals spanning engineering, science, computing, health, and the social sciences. To foster deeper academic exchange, both parties will actively encourage faculty mobility and guest lectures. The meeting concluded with clear actionable steps: the immediate follow-up and finalization of the UI–NUS umbrella Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to serve as the legal foundation for these ambitious, faculty-specific collaborations and credit recognition schemes.
