Call for application for student exchange program at Leiden University, Netherlands!
Open for Undergraduate (Bachelor – S1) students who have never participated on exchange program.

Details Information

Eligibility

For Undergraduate (Bachelor – S1) Students
  • An active UI Student at Faculty of Humanities
  • Minimum in the 3rd semester for Bachelor (S1) students at the time of application
  • Have not completed all required credits of their study
  • Must transfer credits to UI after completing exchange program
  • Must not graduate from UI until the exchange program is completed
  • Have a strong academic performance
  • Have a strong competence in English proficiencyPlease see the details regarding English proficiency below
  • Must purchase international health insurance that meets visa and partner university requirements
  • Must have a valid passport at the time of application
  • Students who have participated or are currently enrolled in a student exchange program are not eligible
  • Must not be currently applying for or accepting any exchange at the time of application
  • Must comply with faculty-specific rules and regulations (if any)

Document Requirements

  • Faculty Recommendation Letter (signed by the Head of Departement/Study Program)
  1. The faculty supports and acknowledges the offline outbound international mobility program.
  2. The student will not graduate from UI until the international mobility program is completed.
  3. Earned credits are transferable to UI.
  • Academic record signed by Vice Dean
  • CV & Motivation Letter
  • A Valid English Proficiency CertificatePlease see the details regarding English proficiency below
  • Written approval letter of departure from parents (following the provided format)
  • Learning agreement (following the provided format)
  • Consent letter (following the provided format)

About the Program:

Only for Huminities Program – students must take at least 15 EC per semester in courses Humanities. LUC courses are not available for exchange students. Students may select max. 1 course in Psychology

English Proficiency:

  • IELTS Academic test: at least 6.5
  • TOEFL test: 90 (internet-based test)
  • Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English): 180
  • Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

Test results should not be older than two years. Institutional TOEFL (ITP) tests are not accepted. A few individual courses may require a higher test score.

Please note that we do not accept the TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition™ and TOEFL IBT Paper Based™ for admission.
