Directorate for Internationalization of Education

Visit: University of Arkansas, USA

Universitas Indonesia (UI) welcomed the delegation from the University of Arkansas, USA, for a preliminary discussion on expanding academic and research collaboration.

The meeting took place at the Directorate for Internationalization of Education, UI Rectorate Building, 1st Floor.

The delegation consisted of:

Lindsey Susan Aloia – Associate Dean, Graduate School & International Education, Associate Professor, Department of Communication

Adnan Alrubaye, Ph.D. – Assistant Professor of Poultry Microbiology, Associate Director of Graduate Program in Cell and Molecular Biology, Secretary, UA Faculty Senate, President-Elect, UA Teaching Academy

Douglas Rhoads – University Professor; Director of Cell and Molecular Biology Program, Director of Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Cell and Molecular Biology (BISC)-Biological Sciences

The delegation was greeted by:

Eka Pradipta – International Partnership Officer

Hanny Kemala – International Visits Officer

The discussion focused on exploring joint research and academic programs, particularly in the fields of agriculture and forestry. Mr. Adnan Alrubaye, Ph.D, and Prof. Rhoads shared opportunities for UI students to pursue advanced studies at the University of Arkansas and expressed strong interest in establishing a research-focused collaboration between the two institutions.

This meeting marks the beginning of a promising academic partnership between UI and UofA, with shared goals in scientific advancement and international education.
