Directorate for Internationalization of Education

Visit: Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Japan

Universitas Indonesia (UI) hosted a delegation from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Japan, for a strategic meeting to expand academic collaboration. The meeting was held in Meeting Room A, 2nd Floor, UI Rectorate Building.

The delegation consisted of:

Dr. Nobuhiro Nakamura – Dean of Engineering and incoming Executive Vice-President

Dr. Masafumi Hirano – Professor of Applied Chemistry, Vice-Dean of Engineering, and incoming Dean of Engineering

Dr. Hirotaka Saito – Professor, Member of Education and Research Council, and incoming Dean of Agriculture

Dr. Masafumi Yohda – Professor of Biotechnology and Director of TUAT-University of Indonesia Project

Dr. Wuled Lenggoro – Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, International Affairs Committee

Dr. Kenta Umebayashi – Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of International Affairs, School of Engineering

Dr. Yukiko Horikiri – Associate Professor and International Coordinator

The delegation was greeted by:

Dr. Dipo Aldila, S.Si., M.Si.  – Manager for Research and Community Service, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, S.Si., M.Eng. – Manager for Cooperation, Venture and Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Engineering

The meeting explored opportunities for strengthening cooperation through student and faculty exchange programs, joint double/dual degree initiatives, summer courses, and internship programs. Both institutions also discussed offering reciprocal postgraduate scholarships to enhance mobility and research collaboration.

This engagement reflects a shared commitment to fostering global academic networks and advancing joint education and research between Indonesia and Japan.
