Universitas Indonesia (UI) hosted a delegation from Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France INSA (INSA HdF) to discuss academic partnerships, student mobility, and research collaborations. The meeting highlighted strong potential for mutual academic growth and outlined concrete steps for facilitating international exchange.
The delegation from Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France INSA was represented by:
Mrs. Sarah DUSART – Head of International Office INSA Hauts-de-France
The Universitas Indonesia delegation was led by Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC – Director, Internationalization of Education and was accompanied by:
During the meeting, INSA HdF presented its comprehensive educational structure, which includes Bachelor’s (3 years), Master’s (2 years), Engineering Degree (3 years), and PhD (3 years) programs. The institution highlighted its 8 training areas accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) and introduced several of its international master’s programs, specifically in Transportation and Mobility, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, and Computing.
Discussing research collaboration, INSA HdF noted the extensive potential within its research laboratories, which are supported by over 300 researchers. Both institutions are highly open to fostering joint research, researcher exchanges, and research internships. Furthermore, INSA HdF and UI discussed opening internship opportunities for international students without imposing a specific quota. Acceptance into these research internships will depend on the alignment of the research topic and the availability of supervisors, and notably, these programs will be offered without any program fees.
The meeting also detailed specific student exchange opportunities, proposing a scheme that allows a maximum of 4 students for a one-semester program or 2 students for a full academic year. It was noted that INSA HdF students traveling to Indonesia would have the valuable opportunity to participate in internships or complete their final projects during their stay.
As actionable next steps, both parties agreed to coordinate further with their respective mobility teams to solidify the student exchange mechanisms, which will be followed by the sharing of a draft Student Exchange Agreement. Additionally, the collaboration will soon be highlighted by a planned visit from INSA HdF lecturers, who will deliver guest lectures at UI’s Faculty of Engineering this March.
